The Sabi Sand Game Reserve is one of the most prestigious private game reserves in South Africa and is famous for its incredible leopard sightings as well as the Big Five. The reserve shares an unfenced boundary with the 2million hectare Kruger National Park, and is home to one of the richest wildlife populations in the country.

Kruger Shalati Train Lodge is situated as a gateway to the Kruger National Park. Offering 31 rooms, consisting of 24 carriage rooms.

With pool views, Kruger Shalati – The Train on The Bridge is situated in Skukuza and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. All units are air conditioned and include a seating and/or dining area.

Kruger Shalati Train Lodge – The Train on The Bridge offers a continental or à la carte breakfast in a restaurant under beautiful tress overlooking the riverbed below.

Guests can also relax in the shared lounge area and an overhanging pool area  between the carriages with breath taking views of the wildlife below, while sipping on a gin and tonic or enjoying a delicious cappuccino.

Popular points of interest near the accommodation include Skukuza Indigenous Plants Nursery, Skukuza Museum and Skukuza Day Visitor Facilities. The nearest airport is Skukuza, 4 km from Kruger Shalati – The Train on The Bridge, and the property offers a free airport shuttle service.
